Realistic firelogs with flickering glow conveniently powered by batteries with no external wires.  
The flickering effect is beautiful, IMO.

I use dried little twigs from my backyard maple tree and cut them to proper lengths to create the stacked logs.  

This firelogs insert runs on 3 button cell batteries (LR44).
An on/off switch is accessible from the underside.  Please refer to the last photo.
To replace batteries, press the latch on the underside to remove the plastic lid first.

DIMENSIONS:
log base is approximately 1" deep X 1 3/4" wide;  2.25" tall to the tip of tallest flame
