1-inch scale light up festive red mail box for dropping in your mini letters to Santa.
It has a drop-down door that works just like those in USPS's blue mail collection boxes.
The lower drawer houses a balloon light so this mini Santa's mailbox lights up with a magical glow. If you prefer, you may remove the balloon light and stash your folded banknotes in there.
The door and drawer handles were made from metal wires. 3D printed plastic handles need a much bulkier volume to be as sturdy. Besides, wires definitely look more proportional. That is the main reason having metal handles here.
The mail box was printed in red plastic from a 3D model I created. The main body has an additional glossy red coat of paint (opaque) while the drawer is more metallic (in its original filament color) and translucent so that light can shine through
The front and sides of the mailbox were decorated with vinyl and paper stickers. There is even a "Collection Times" chart in front of the top door. If you love details, this one is for you. :)
