Traditional Japanese "kumiko" table or floor lamp in 1:12 scale. It is best suited for use in a tatami room box or Asian-themed room box.
Kumiko is the general term referring to the technique with which tiny wood strips are cut and put together to form intricate patterns without using nails. This technique is NOT used in the construction of this miniature.
The design was inspired by a lamp I spotted on Mulan (2020 film). I added two top handles that are meant to be simplified shapes of traditional Japanese gateways (torii).
The wood frame is solid walnut wood. The panels are white translucent plastic.
The warm and soft diffused light produces a relaxing mood, very Zen :)
It is powered by one CR2032 battery.
